How to reduce the population and other benefits the PC way

Unread postby Wildwell » Mon 31 Oct 2005, 07:36:33

With the Army in both the UK and US having recruitment problems, a lack of traditional (especially building) skills, jails at bursting point with a huge cost to the tax paying and a burgeoning yob culture in Britain costing the taxpayer well over £20bn a year, here’s the answer for reducing the population of rehabilitating criminals, saving money, and helping the forces in the process.

Yobs, violent offenders in particular, can be rounded up and the jails emptied and loaded onto transport planes bound for the Middle East. Upon arrival they attend army boot camps and are split into three groups depending on their crimes: Canon fodder, Security forces, Hard labour or tradesmen. For example, a couple of Saturday nights out causing trouble could attract 6 months in the Middle East rebuilding roads and infrastructure, attached to a chain. A good testosterone release for them.

Upon arrival back they are monitored for 12 months and any repeat offence shipped straight back.

Never mind attaching fireworks to dogs tails and smashing the place up for a small fine, the cure for both recruitment and yob culture is here.

Hate to agree, but thats the best idea and the most humane.

We want respect back on our streets, this will work.

We could probably find enough for a small invasion force in Luton alone.

ASBO means from now on, Armed Service Because you're Offensive.

The Vandoo (22nd) Canadian regiment was largely comprised of murderers, rapists and other types of criminals from Quebec in WW2. They were the fiercest fighters that the world had ever seen.

The Soviets would put prisoners in units in front of the regular army. YOu either fight the enemy or be shot by the Regulars...

I don't think it'll work. Sooner or later they're going to be joining the "enemy". Hence we have a huge base of "criminals" banding together with the "insurgents".

Won't solve the issue. Root cause not addressed.

Here's a kind of PC way to reduce the population, or possibly at least bring about zero population growth.

Not sure if I like it much, 1 woman has 2 husbands, as in Nepal.

link

So who wants to campaign for a culture change like this?

What happens to the other half of the women?

Imagine the domestic disputes though. WOW! Could be really difficult if they took sides.

I think there would be a tendentcy to treat the woman like property. What if she started to prefer sleeping with only one brother? Then what?

Why dont we just send them all to an island designed for criminals......

You are SO full of crap. First of all the Van Doos were created during the first world war and second they had so many people enlisting voluntarily they had to turn people away.

Thousands of men enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF), then assembling at Valcartier, Québec under the personal, if chaotic, supervision of Sam Hughes, the exuberant Minister of Militia and Defence. There was a surplus of volunteers and selection standards remained high; some men, in fact, were turned away. On October 3, a convoy of ships carrying nearly 33,000 Canadian troops departed for Britain. In December 1914, Borden announced solemnly that "there has not been, there will not be, compulsion or conscription". To find whatever manpower might be necessary, Borden placed his faith in Canadians' patriotic spirit.

When the first contingent of the CEF sailed in October 1914, it contained a single organized French-speaking company (about 150 men). Sam Hughes at first refused to authorize any French-language units. The second contingent of over 20,000 men, despatched to Britain in early 1915, had a single French-speaking Québec battalion, the 22nd, later nicknamed the "Van Doos."

This was because
Recruitment, however, was already tapering off in the fall of 1915. In October of that year, Ottawa bowed to the pressure of patriotic groups and allowed any community, civilian organization or leading citizen able to bear the expense to raise an infantry battalion for the CEF. Some of the new battalions were raised on the basis of ethnicity or religion, others promoted a common occupational or institutional affiliation or a shared social interest, such as membership in sporting clubs, as the basis of their organization. For example, Danish Canadians raised a battalion, two battalions recruited "Bantams," men under 5 feet 2 inches tall, and one Winnipeg battalion was organized for men abstaining from alcohol. Up to October 1917 this "patriotic" recruiting yielded a further 124,000 recruits divided among 170 usually understrength infantry battalions.

That you claim they were rapists and murderers just shows you are racist against french people too. WOw your bigoted little world must be extremely small and confining.

But theres already an island established for criminals. We should just keep using existing resources, much easier that way.

Lord, "So what happened to your brother?" "How the hell do I know? One day he was screwing my wife, the next thing I know, he's vanished. Am I my Brother's Keeper?" Lord, "You don't fool me, Human!"

Didn't they do that already? You mean to tell me that all those criminals ended up there from random assortment? :)
