Cog makes a valid point.
NatGeo reports that there were no environmental activists killed in the USA, but in the same report then says that people were arrested in the USA for illegal camping and destroying public property and obstructing construction projects and vandalizing heavy equipment, as thought it was the same kind of thing as the murder of environmental activists that occurs in other countries.
Of course the US police arrested the vandals who were illegally camping on public property and left behind all their garbage andcrap and created a huge mess ---- not to mention some were caught vandalizing heavy equipment. Thank goodness they do.
It isn't at all the same thing as police officers being murdered in Africa as they tried to stop poachers from killing the last Mountain Gorillas at Virunga.
If the police in the USA didn't act to stop people vandalizing and littering and destroying out parks and other federal lands, our parks and federal land would all be trashed in no time.
Cheers!
