I recieved this email a few minutes ago;

Dennis Coyne has put up a new post, Coal Shock Model. Hope you like it.

Dennis will be taking over the blog in a few weeks. I am retiring from the blog business and will post only once in a while. I have some health problems but more health problems with my wife. The blog is just putting too much of a strain on things.

But I have enjoyed it.

Ron

I've always enjoyed Ron's point of view, and his valuable data mining and presentations. He'll be missed. Fair winds, Ron!

Big shoes to fill. I have always appreciated how he did not put up with crap on his blog. His information has been invaluable.

Well, it's good that he's putting his and his wife's health first, that's the most important thing we have.
Hope him and his missus well.

Yes, Ron did a great job with the blog, filled a huge hole after TOD stopped their blogging. I see some of Ron's posts catch traction with some MSM writers. Never underestimate the impact of one man hell bent on analyzing the minutia of a subject. .

I dunno, ROCKMAN, all the gerolovists I've worked with over a long career have been marvelous spellers.

IMO, Ron did much better at running a blog than the proprietors at TOD. Yet, I didn't contribute as much at Ron's as I did at TOD because I got involved with studying climate science.

If Dennis does decide to take over, it will remain in great shape.

Damn, another one of my favorite curmudgeons out of circulation.

Well, Ron will be known for calling the peak last what, July?

Best wishes Ron for you and your wife. I've learned a ton from following your ideas. Granted, I hope the apocalyptic view is wrong. 'Not betting on it though.

HEY! LTNS, glad to see you are still around! Pull up a keyboard and dive right in, how have things been, what have you learned what have you unlearned, spare us no details!

All Ron the Fool did was perpetuate the nonsense that fossil fuels "ruined the earth" and he was a true believer in man made climate change. And then his constant Peak oil gibberish predictions that were always wrong.

What a fucking idiot.

And you all worshipped that horseshit he spewed like he was some kind of God.

We may be dumb, but at least we are not stupid enough to believe all Your horseshit.
I do not mind a bloke who tells it like he believes and lets me decide whether I trust him.

Unfortunately, you are both wrong!

The truth is that Ron Patterson is the ringmaster of a three ring circus of deception.

Time to wake up, folks.

The entire peak oil "movement" has been astroturfed from the very beginning! That is what theoildrum.com was all about. 8O

We are all the victims of a BIG LIE.
