Small animals like pet rodents go crazy for goard seeds.

Everything is green in my area, but I will hold off fertilizing fruit trees and such until the threat of frost has past.

I got 42 holes prepped for the eventual arrival of 110 small holy trees. Also started transplanting some strawberries into the fruit tree & hazelnut areas, after making holes from digging out weeds. (until now the strawberries were confined to the blueberry part of the big 2300 sqft core area)

I launched my on line store today, so then I had an anxiety attack because I know nothing will happen at first. But I attended a little trade show this weekend with a few samples, and I'll be following up with some people who could refer customers to me. And a Google ads buy should be extremely effective.

I met some people who were talking about business ideas of their own, and the question is, can you shoestring that business, can you pull the plug at any point will you recover most of your investment? And above all are you going to be vulnerable to people that are going to try to cut your throat and take over (even if the attempt would obviously be doomed people will try anyway). Too often, they have an idea and a rather large goal that would require a lot of resources an investments from people who will cut their throats. Too often the goal is to make the first billion, not to get to the breakeven point.

Too many people are thinking in terms of starting a business based on a novel internet service. Is the goal to start a business or to sell software? My approach is to make something useful, sell it, and make money.

Anyway, that's all I'm going to say about it.....

Working on a woodshed using 6X framing. Here is a link to my photobucket bucket album with pictures of it.

Still need to put the roof on. Then no more stacks of wood with tarps over them. Should hold 8 cord easy.

Looks like a sweet setup that you have!

That's the best way to go about it.

This week I marked the last 68 spots with flags to have holes prepped for the 110 holly saplings

I am also working towards having a nice Asian girlfriend who has greater interest in gardening, making soap etc than the current wife. She also seems to have a bit of artistic flair.

Thus, if things go down the crapper in the future and the wife proves useless or worse, a hindrance, I can basically throw her under the bus and bring in a new woman.

My neighbours block just got mowed, it had weeds chest high
So I raked them over to my block and mulched everything upto 6 inches thick on top of old palm fronds I also get from the neighbours.
Got heaps of rain last night so hopefully it will get another cut in a few weeks time.
He is going to build a house there eventually so he is happy to keep it cleared,I might put a goat/sheep on it if the SHTF and he doesn't build.

Its great having empty blocks either side, more scope to expand food production if its really required.I might put pumpkins or water melons on it next summer maybe even experiment with a grain or legume crop or some kind of green manure crop to be harvested for me by the local lawn mowing crew.(soy, cowpea or Medicago sativa).
Win Win ,makes the neighbours blocks fertile for me if the SHTF, provides a good quality mulch for the price of seed and helps my neighbour grow food if he comes to live making him less prone to Zombie.
Its good to think outside your actual block and work the edges.
Ready to turn Zombies into WWOOFers
