Re: Govt to lose $14B of auto bailout funds

Yeah, I think we should take that money and give big business billions more in tax breaks so they can take more of it overseas.

Look at it this way, local jobs are gone and the middle class has all but dissapeared, but corporate earnings are way up. Let’s see if we can widen the gap between the haves and the have not’s even more!

Still wouldn't be low enough. The average auto worker in China earns somewhere around $3,000 a year.

Any complaints about paying for warranty repairs on cars bought from old GM and Chrysler?

They seem to believe that if they say "Bakken, Brazil, offshore, tar sands, technology" enough times in a row, it will make $100-a-barrel oil go away.

Thank god they found someone to buy Chrysler. Losing $14 bil isn't so bad since Fiat was willing to buy that bloated corpse of an auto manufacturer. The only fools willing to buy their vehicles (Jeeps and Dodge Trucks and the occasional minivan) were hillbillies. Maybe Fiat can keep them as loyal customers. Good luck to them.

Due to the bankruptcies, GM and Chrysler aren't paying legitimate court ordered settlements to crash victims.

Another ironic twist when choosing the unions as winners.

I saw an article today about how a guy who faked an oil spill claim in the gulf, falsely accusing BP, faces up to a $250,000 fine and 20 years in prison. (Similar to someone who steals a car).

Not that this guy is an angel, but he faces that and GM and Chrysler, now making money hand over fist ignore the courts on a legal technicality, and get away with it.

Nice equitable legal system we have...

The bailout or QE1 didn't work and QE2 didn't work. So now let's try it again which will also not work.
