The only change in the standings (as of 14-Feb.) and the Jan. 31 scorecard posted above is that dolanbaker and Observerbrb switched spots.
There’s a strange irony related to this subject [oil and gas extraction] that the better you do the job at exploiting this oil and gas, the sooner it is gone.

A new high price for the year was reported Thursday, and I expect another new high price to be reported next week too.

Yes it's too late. You can say who you think has the best chance of winning and why if you like. :)

Getting down to his $23.33 low will take some doing but you can never know for sure. :)

If the Economy tanks, that could push the price way down

Yes they think Congress can actually pass a tax cut by August. The devils in the details and there are bills to pay so I give it only one chance in three of getting done.

Either there is an error on the spreadsheet, or Pstarr & Careinke have identical predictions.

There's no error. Go back and see what pstarr wrote on December 30th.

onlooker,

feel free to make a prediction just for fun, I am curious to what your guess would be. But Peak Oiler will not include it in his spreadsheet.

Another new high price was reported this week, barely:

We need some drama to raise oil prices. Invented or otherwise.

GW did it last time when he invaded Iraq. Maybe Trump can gin up some more trouble in Yemen? Then we can invade Saudi Arabia.

After all its really SA's fault your portfolio sucks. Its production cut was BS. It was a production failure.

Yes, stage a black swan event and create artificial scarcity to raise the oil price. What do you accomplish in the grand scheme of things. Zilch :P
