You are insinuating that being anti-jihadi is being anti-Muslim? Radical Islam is a western project to destroy secular governments across the Middle East. Syria, Libya, Afghanistan (during the 1980s and later), and so on. Saudi Arabia is a US client state with a blank check to sponsor terrorists and jihadis.

50 years ago the Middle East was not afflicted with wahabbi scum:

Question, was the Somali immigrant who ran down a crowd of people with his vehicle at OSU and then tried to stab as many of the victims as he could with a butcher knife an Islamic Terrorist or a Knife Wielding Man?

It all depends on your chosen news source and self selected opinion doesn't it? The Legacy media is reporting this as if he were just some random nut job. Meanwhile it has been revealed that ISIS released a plea over the internet the day before for all good Islamists to use whatever weapons they could get easiest to do as much damage as they could to the non-muslims wherever they lived.

This guy wasn't some ignorant 16 year old wearing a bomb vest, he was a third year University student presumably with a considerable education by this point in his life.

Tanada,
Do you know his major? Maybe he was a third year student with debt and no job prospects. Maybe he was thinking his life was worthless and this was a way to bring meaning to it.

Radical Islam is a threat, so is joblessness. Perhaps this is where the two make a dangerous combination. Don't know, just speculating.

News reports give his major as 'logistics' whch would mean designing just n time delivery systems I believe.

Investigators were sorting through recent communications linked to Artan, including an angry screed posted to Facebook shortly before the assault in which the logistics management student said he was “sick and tired’’ of seeing Muslims persecuted, said the federal law enforcement official.

In an August interview with OSU's student newspaper, The Lantern, Artan talked of being overwhelmed and "scared'' as a devout Muslim who sought a private place to engage in daily prayer on the sprawling campus.

Reports surfaced from witnesses that the OSU killer was in agitated state. So I would surmise based on this, on the fact that he was a lone assailant and did not use any sophisticated weapons or devices that this in an inspired terrorist attack rather than a coordinated one. Because we have the report Tanada mentioned of a call to attack by ISIS and I also heard that the assailant had shorty before attack wrote something on Facebook to the effect that he was tired of all the anti Muslim attitudes.

Of course you would not hear about it in the western media, the protestors are Shia Muslims, which are not the Muslims we are supporting. We for some asinine reason, support the Sunni's, specifically the Wahhabi faction. You know the group that generates ISIS, Al Qaida, the rebels in Syria fighting against the legitimate Syrian Government.

BTW the Sunni/Wahhabi believe all LGBTQs should be put to death, and actually practice it in places like Saudi Arabia. That alone makes me anti Muslim, at least the ones I worked with for over a decade. Do you feel I should be pro Muslim based on their true beliefs?

How many Syrian refugees have the Saudi's taken in? How about Bahrain? How about Palestinians? I'll give you a hint, the number starts with a Z.

The Sunni and Shia are in Jihad with each other, yet no one in the west seems to recognize it, probably because we think in terms of countries, not religion.

Good observation Care. My comment was in reference to those especially in the West who correlate Islam with radical Islam and make no distinction. The fact that the Shia condemn the violence of ISIS should be seen as something positive that should be covered and highlighted if not celebrated. Instead we have the real reality that the US is supporting ISIS ie. the Sunnis along with KSA and they do NOT desire peace but rather victory in the ongoing War to secure Oil supplies and be the last man standing. They're are no permanent alliances only partnerships borne of convenience.

The Mosul operation has been bloody. Not really a surprise since such is urban warfare. But there has been zero coverage of the toll, while in the case of Aleppo we had fake news about endless hospitals being hit over and over again.

Yes dissident as an American able to filter fake from real news (thanks Internet), the bias and propaganda that western media spews under the rubric of objective news is amazing especially in foreign interventions

Well here is the secret clandestine War that Washington would rather people around the world would not see---
Since September 11, 2001, US Special Operations forces have grown in every conceivable way, from their numbers to their budget. Most telling, however, has been the exponential rise in special ops deployments globally. This presence—now, in nearly 70 percent of the world’s nations—provides new evidence of the size and scope of a secret war being waged from Latin America to the backlands of Afghanistan, from training missions with African allies to information operations launched in cyberspace. The massive expansion in the use of special forces, like the massive expansion in the use of drone missile attacks, occurred mainly during the Obama administration.

In 2013, elite US forces were deployed in 134 countries around the globe, according to Major Matthew Robert Bockholt of SOCOM Public Affairs. This 123 percent increase during the Obama years demonstrates how, in addition to conventional wars and a CIA drone campaign, public diplomacy and extensive electronic spying, the US has engaged in still another significant and growing form of overseas power projection. Conducted largely in the shadows by America’s most elite troops, the vast majority of these missions take place far from prying eyes, media scrutiny, or any type of outside oversight, increasing the chances of unforeseen blowback and catastrophic consequences.

There's been a possible Islamic terrorist attack on the US grid in Nevada

media-blackout-over-terror-incident-vegas-power-plant

there's been a significant attack on the US grid in Nevada...one that almost knocked out power to parts of Las Vegas, include the Las Vegas strip.

Image
An attack on the US grid in Nevada almost knocked out power to parts of Las Vegas, include the Las Vegas strip.

The perpetrator appears to be a member of the religion of peace, and he's been charged with committing terrorism after attacking the grid, but there's been almost a total blackout on reporting this incident so not much else is known. This seems curious since there was extensive national media coverage of two dopes who shot up tranformers in Washington State as part of a small time robbery scheme. You'd think this much larger attack on the grid in Nevada would be worthy of national media coverage as well, but for some reason it isnt' being covered by the MSM.

Thanks for the link.

I get why you put this here BUT his motives are not yet known. Could be Islamic or something else. Plenty of nutters of all denominations. Or maybe even no motive, just plain nutz.

Perhaps the bigger story, and maybe that is your point, is that this story was not widely covered. One would expect it to be as public interest is high now in light of the other incidents.
