Tendencies and contradictions at play

Even as capitalism marches towards an open global market, it is riddled with contradictions and risks. Nonetheless, the core tendencies march on forcefully to a world with no nation states:

UK, Australia, NZ and Canada Support EU-Style Free Movement Between Countries

Well, for what it's worth, we tried that already, and NAFTA has been pretty much a losing proposition that simply exported jobs, manufacturing, and pollution to less developed Central American and South American countries.

The winners in this were the 1%. The losers are everybody else.

There is a great leveling going on. The following have existed since "cities/civilization" arose. Now it is being globalized. It probably will collapse of its own over reach but not before people continue to be hurt and more are enslaved. Right now, we on this list are in the top percentage. For how long?????

Through history there seems to be a distribution of wealth and privilege that looks something like:

0.1% Dynastic Oligarchs
1% Administrators (in today’s world - CEOs, Presidents, Fed chairman, etc.)
10 to 15% Functionary Workers (this would be most who are reading this now)
80 to 90% Peasants (Wage Slaves in debt-bondage)
From my essay http://sunweber.blogspot.com/2011/05/ne ... -ages.html

The consciousness doesn't extend to the US White House. Obama has just negotiated the TPP----a new NAFTA ----this time with Asia
Never underestimate the ability of Joe Biden to f#@% things up---Barack Obama

And how does open access to global accumulation not aid capitalists and thus fail to be in accord with the tendencies in the system? Just what part of capitalism suggests that nationalism is a viable model?

For Anbang, which started as a regional car insurance business in China 12 years ago, a Starwood takeover would be the climax of a rapid transformation into a diversified investment group. Over the past 18 months, Anbang has spent more than $23bn — without counting its offer for Starwood — to accumulate a sprawling list of global assets that span financial services, real estate and lodging.

This globalisation is thus accompnaied by contradictions for example:

Sunny Sun, from the international sales department at a major Chinese entertainment corporation said about Donald trump, “I hope he won't become president because it will affect relationships with countries in Asia."

http://www.onenewspage.co.uk/video/2016 ... -Trade.htm

However, these tensions help to bring out the systems tendencies in their fullness and thus paradoxically, nationalists and extremists constrained by these forces in fact act to perfect them. Hitler and Mussolini were two examples, the Emperor of Japan another. In contrast, residue systems such as Islam clash with objectivity, raising the risks inherent in short window high risk infinite growth systems on our finite plane. The challenge for us as a species is to work with history to resolve these blocks...or we fail.
