Saudi Arabian oil – a trap for EU?

Unread postby Koromandyz » Tue 10 Nov 2015, 09:33:04

Got here some really worth stuff concerning the recently reported SA oil shipments to the EU. The IMF expects the cooperation is one-sided and is doomed indeed. All the more, there're no guarantees that the EU is not buying cheap crude from bloody ISIS:

"However taking in account dismal prognosis and further slipping oil price, even a legion of new partners won’t save Saudis. They won’t afford engaging in predatory price. Instead very soon they will confront their customers with an accomplished fact of change of contract terms to much less favorable ones."

IOW in the future the KSA will charge the EU with the max price for oil the market will allow. Just as it always has been. I'm not sure how having a new oil exporter for the EU is a trap. If the Europeans were feeling trapped I think having more the half the KSA oil going to China instead of the EU would make them squirm more then a little bit of that oil coming to them. If the EU doesn't like the trade with the KSA they can always buy US oil now that we're getting rid of the "ban". LOL.
