Saudi butchers get a free pass at the UN

Unread postby dissident » Fri 02 Oct 2015, 19:12:20

http://news.antiwar.com/2015/10/01/un-t ... ar-crimes/

On Sunday, Saudi helicopters attacked a north Yemeni village, killing 30 civilians. The next day they attacked a wedding party in the southwest, killing another 131 civilians. Two such high-profile incidents amid the UN General Assembly meeting seemed to ensure that UN Human Rights Council calls for an inquiry into civilian deaths in Yemen would get through. Incredibly, they didn’t.

Instead, Saudi Arabia started complaining about the idea, and the UN let the matter drop, with the US and several other Western nations that initially signaled support for a resolution on an inquiry, proposed by the Netherlands, jumping ship and backing a competing Saudi text.

These are the same collection of NATO clown states that demand a criminal tribunal in the case of MH17.

I am wondering about China and Russia what they have to say about all that is happening in the Middle East. They are two of the several nations who have vetoing power and whose opinion therefore matters.

Have you bumped your head? China is busily repressing Uighur Muslims in it's north, who have been using some pretty horrific terror tactic, (remember the train station mass stabbing/ hack up recently?).
Putin has made various public statements about Salafist threats to world stability. Both are set to go hammer & sickle against Saudi, NATO, Israel backed anti Assad forces in Syra, probably reaching into Iraq. Saud is going to watch it's god botherer squadron numero Uno get obliterated by the two biggest export threats- Iran & Russia, with the biggest customer- China. This is momentous, we are observing the biggest shift in global power dynamics since WW1 & 2.

Sea not denying terrorism and its growing menace. Also, I believe I have written about this in other posts, yes China and Russia and loosely the Brics stand as a counter force to the West/US. This is seen in measures taken to decouple from US dollar reserve status and sell oil in other currencies. Of course this is all happening most on this site agree about that. What we dispute are some of the details. The biggest being that in fact the US itself has unleashed Muslim fanaticism upon the world. I know this is counter-intuitive but we live now in different times. You could say this is end game strategy. No holds barred. US is gambling on chaos and being their to benefit from said chaos. Jihadists are not going to be loyal to China or Russia either as you referenced yourself. The Empire is loosing a grip and has resorted to this desperate tactic of the "War on Terror" in fact as I will keep saying a ruse for the real war of the main countries in the world to be the last man standing.

Terrorism- the label applied by the violent oppressor to the violent resistance. Not really anywhere near as much a problem as it could be.

Anyway, Salafist Jihadis getting smashed is always good, whoever does the smashing. The Saudis& Usrael need a slap down for their sneakiness & the UN is hopeless. NATO can whine or start dropping Russian fighters out of the sky, which they are obviously not going to do.

The Salafists need to be firmly shoved back to the 7th century, where they belong. Russia has the tech, Iran has the balls, with China & Brazil on side they don't need anything from the standing order.

One of the United States’ strongest allies is currently inflicting as much carnage as any other nation in the world. Instead of being vilified for their part in a staggering amount of human rights atrocities, the critics go mute and the bloodshed is rewarded. The news regarding Saudi Arabia this week is too abundant to include in any one headline.

According to UNICEF, the ongoing attacks by a U.S.-backed, Saudi Arabian-led coalition in Yemen have resulted in the deaths of at least 505 children since March 26, 2015. Another 710 have been left injured, and 1.7 million are at risk of malnutrition. As Daniel Johnson with the U.N. pointed out, the grievous numbers are equivalent to eight children killed or maimed in Yemen every day for six months.

The NATO MSM is too busy spreading hoaxes about Russian collateral damage in Syria.

You sound like you're almost cheerleading ISIS. Sorry, man. A guy saws off a man's head with a rusty knife, the buck stops with him. ISIS would not exist without a lot of really assholish people ready to do commit these acts of atrocity.
