Is it possible that the government is hiding something?

Unread postby DesuMaiden » Fri 28 Aug 2015, 17:15:53

Is it possible the government is hiding a suitable replacement for oil and other fossil fuels? I believe this is possible. I wish it was possible.

But even if there was a replacement for fossil fuels, our current consumerist culture is unsustainable. We consume far too many resources.

People need to accept that being mindless consumer drones isn't going to last forever. You can't expect to have infinite consumption on a finite planet. People these days are consuming resources like there is no tomorrow.

I might have said earlier that I don't want to be a doomer anymore. But I'm still somewhat of a doomer because I believe there is no way in hell that we can keep on consuming like there is no tomorrow.

Contrary to popular belief, technology will not solve all of our problems. Read the following book as proof as this.

What, pray tell, would they be hiding when it comes to liquid fuels? What could replace (energy equivalent) 90 million barrels per day, globally, of oil?

They broke this in a 1960's movie, and then "they" buried it until the short sighted
public forgot all about it, this was easy because in those days gasoline was cheap.
But I remember, it was fantastic, non-polluting, and simply "all of that and
a bag of chips". It is called Flubber. Then they did a CIA spawned TV show
about a dolphin named Flipper, so that people would just remember Flipper
and forget about Flubber, which once Walt Disney was gone, went into the
big Government warehouse right next to the Ark of the Covenant from Raiders
of the Lost Ark. Flubber is all in a couple of big pickle jars, in the trunk of a
Studebaker that ran on water, in that big Gov warehouse. Makes me want to cry
when I think about it. For God's sake people, how do you think the stinkin' VW
bug flew around in the Love Bug? Yup, it was Flubber, dudes and dudettes.

"Is it possible the government is hiding a suitable replacement for oil and other fossil fuels?"

Yes, in fact it is hiding one: Its called arbitrage. Since the financial maggots are the government, and since the financial maggots love renewables because it is a paradise for arbitrage....well then the "government" has indeed found a replacement for fossil fuels.

If you are one of the little people, good luck trying to tax the financial maggots for your cut.

My family was a bit more crude - they said, "If your aunt had balls, she'd be your uncle".
Nowadays it seems to be going the other way more of the time. All you have to do is wish hard enough, and you can be anything you want.

I think the title should say "Is it possible that the government is NOT hiding something?"

Great post - I agree with every word, except I heard it was a Ford Edsel, not a Studebaker.
