Actually, last year I paid more in taxes (both in total amount and percentage wise) than many of the larger corporations - like GE and Prudential Insurance, for example.

Personally speaking I despise all political and religious apes who think there is one system for every problem. The more complex global civilization has become the more the true believers insist that their system has all the solutions even when everything is unraveling. Absolutely outstanding observation. But for this type of group, they wouldn't actually ever want to decrease government. That after all, might decrease benefits they and theirs receive.

The irony is that capitalism can only flourish when that perceived lack of fairness is diminished, as the rich and present middle class can only earn more if they sell more. And that means a growing consumer market.

FWIW, there are some right-wingers who support government, but it has to be a "non-leftist" government, i.e., something that supports Wall Street and deregulation. The irony is that administrations controlled by both parties do that.
