If there is something that you do not understand about Peakoil forums the best thing to do is use the search function and see of someone else already asked about it and got an answer in the forums. You can search the forums by clicking on this link search.php or by putting your search term in the Google custom search box at the top right of most screens in the forums.

If that doesn't work you can private message one of the volunteer staff and we will try and help you with whatever your question or concern you have about the forums and how they work. Moderators for Peakoil.com have bold green names on your screen to make them easier to identify. DaveP is the senior moderator, his name appears in red so he is even easier to pick out.

It works! (I haven't been using it because IIRC it didn't).

I see it searches for quoted strings. (undocumented feature)

I've been using Google searches like this:
http://google.com/search?q=site%3Apeako ... s+whatever
which returns results ordered by Google's ranking system.
