It keeps happening. I am in the habit of always clearing my cookies. Seems like every time I come here lately I have to sign off, delete my cookies again (just did that), then re-sign in. If everybody is having to do this I can see why the site traffic is way down.

It may not just be cookies, I had to clear cache and forms this time before it would let me post... in addition to the cookies.

I've had my fill of these spammers. I'm whacking their accounts ("delete now all posts" :-D ) without finesse ... No questions asked no answers wanted.

Without the spammers it'd be pretty quiet around here.

It won't say any edits until someone (like me) posts.

Once I post after yours, the count will start.

As long as no one posts below me, I can edit this repeatedly without it being annotated.

That is how the software is designed to behave. Not a bug.

[edit 1: So now it will say i edited it?]

[edit 2: No, right? It has to be the previous post. okay.]

[edit 3: No. Wrong Agent. Now it won't let me edit my previous post, the one before you. Try it yourself and see.]

On some of the other sites I use, there is a period of a couple of minutes when you can do rapid edits that are not flagged, just to sort out the odd typo etc.

edit: And there is also a cut off time of a few hours after which you can't edit it either, I think that coincides with the archive feature of the site.
