Chris Skrebowski’s Megaprojects Update (33 page PDF slideshow)
With lots of interesting graphs.
Anyone know if there's an accompanying narrative?

They seem to believe that if they say "Bakken, Brazil, offshore, tar sands, technology" enough times in a row, it will make $100-a-barrel oil go away.

Note the language, a POTENTIAL increase, there are zero guarantees just good faith projections in this estimate. Mr. Skrebowski has a pretty good track record but there are a lot of variables in these projections.

In any case he sees a net decrease in petroleum availability not more than 4 years in the future despite all of the ultra deep projects, bitumen extraction, extra heavy upgrading and everything else.
