I'm being unfair to you really, you've made many reasonable points, especially in the permaculture discussions.

Rossi is going to demonstrate it @ his Florida production plant in Oct by special invite only.

You all understand this could be as big as when we discovered fire or when the wheel wuz invented, right?

This could be huge, Planet changing kind of stuff for humanity.

Depending on how it goes in Industry (test bed), Rossi say's two to three years before home use. He is going to implement a test model in a industrial setting in Greece this fall.....

I can see TPTB and the current old World power structure crumbling soon. :D

Cold Fusion: Physcists Sven Kullander and Hanno Essén interviewed about the Rossi-Focardi cell
“We’ve arrived. It’s interesting we’ve arrived in a different car than we thought we were. Cold fusion started out using deuterium and palladium, and then Rossi found that it worked quite well in nickel and light hydrogen.”

Of course, he’s taking orders, and I’m sure there’ll be people from all over the world, where regulations are not so quite severe, and minds are more open than they are here, and they’ll buy units, and put them in their factories; and suddenly, the cost of energy to those companies will go down significantly, and all of a sudden people will panic, and then there’ll be a stampede to buy these things.”

So there's really no limit to growth, is there? What a shame, I hate crowded places.

Look on the bright side. Maybe we can lower our carbon foot print. :)

New World Coming

It's funny that the video mostly shows beautiful nature scenery or buildings and towns from 100 of years back. So the beautiful new world we can look forward to is actually the world of 200 years ago?

This whole cold fusion thing just simply sounds too good to be true. Cold fusion success has been touted almost as often as the boy who cried wolf. Don't get me wrong, though. I REALLY hope this proves to be the viable exception to the false victory bells we've all gotten so used to hearing. That said, TPTB will never let this thing get used, even on the smallest scale since the economic impacts of this would cost trillions of dollars in lost revenues for the industries that put politicians in power. When GM realized that they could make billions in the auto industry, they systematically bought and dismantled the whole US street car/trolley network so that people would require their own automobile to get around. This cold fusion gig, IF proven true, will face the same attempts to control it and keep it from ever being used. Science and planetary survival be damned. There's money and our own control of everything to be considered first.

TPTB won't be able to stop it. 1st off the italian government is behind him 100%.

2cd, he's NOT releasing 'how it works' until it is implemented in a Greece Industial facility this fall.

The guy is covering all his bases.

Also, he is using all this OWN money. No investors, no corporations involved.

Do you seriously think we will be better off with endless energy? I have my doubts. Because what's the end of it all? Be able to consume infinitly within a infinite short amount of time?

Why do we need to 'consume infinitly'?

This tech will change our culture. This could be the start of 'sustainability' instead.

Like Bob Dylan said - 'you can never go home'.

Just an assumption based on the past.
From nothing to fire wood, we consumed more,
from fire wood to coal we consume more
from coal to oil we consume more

It's hard to think it will be any different this time around. I would also argue that the majority of the 7B peons would like to first consume like an american/european before he starts thinking about sustainability.

This is false, we did not progess in a linear fashion from nothing.

what you mean false? you're saying we don't consume more now than we did back in the times when firewood was all we had?

I'm saying the idea we evolved from cave man to present day in a linear fashion is false. What you were told in school is a lie. The ancients (pre-history) were MORE advanced than we are today. We are now just discovering the hidden truths from our past.

I see you didn't read any of the material or watch any of the vids - you are just spouting off and throwing out snide remarks.

Like Jim Morrison said 'people are strange'.

But why then did the cavemen let it all slip away and let it degrade to our level? Now don't tell me there was some secret goverment conspiracy going on, or was there?

Blessed are those who believed but didn't see (or have seen on some silly you tube videos and similar other places).

That may well make you blessed but still stupid.
