Book: The World After Cheap Oil

Unread postby Tuike » Tue 13 Jan 2015, 11:17:51

Has anyone read the book in the title: The World After Cheap Oil, written by three Finnish men, Rauli Partanen, Harri Paloheimo and Heikki Waris? It's an international adaption of a Finnish peak oil book 'Suomi oljyn jalkeen', published in 2013. ('Finland after oil' in English) I have read the original and I liked it as it has info about current events in oil business, shale oil and tight oil etc. Also Suomi oljyn jalkeen was the first peak oil book published in Finnish.

Here's one of the authors blog entry about the book in English:
http://kaikenhuippu.com/2014/10/28/the- ... published/

It says in the comments 1/5 of the original has been rewritten. Finland centrism has been removed and replaced with EU and Russia affairs and other international affairs.

Here's publishers info page about the book:

Haven't read it personally, but it does sound interesting. I'll give it a look for sure.
