The USA should send every able bodied American to fight these wars in Eurasia ASAP. The people of the world already deeply dislike and profoundly hate all Americans, if they stop fearing them, too, then the USA is doomed and all Americans abroad will pay the price. The USA must keep up and expand all its terrorist policies at home and abroad ot face total collapse.

My advice for people who hate Americans is to take it easy, chill out, buy lots of popcorn, pay their satellite or cable bills on time, and watch Americans continue to destroy themselves and their country on TV. There is no need to fight them at all, they will completely self destroy if left to their own devices. Peace!

Turkey has been getting away with the genocide of Kurds since the 1980s. Instead of condemning Erdoturd's brutality and crimes, Obama calls him up and pats him on the back. Sick.

Last time I checked, this thread is about Russia, not the US. But it doesn't take much to trigger a boiler-plate rant like this, does it?

Getting the Empire to Shaft the Kurds Once More

In his latest political feat Erdogan has succeeded in getting the US to warn the Kurdish YPG from taking more territory from the Al-Qaeda controlled mainstream Syrian rebellion. This means that US, which for a short while now, seemed to have been prioritizing its SDF-centered anti-ISIS war over its Al Nusra-centered anti-Assad war, has now as much as publicly reaffirmed the equality of these (directly opposing) US goals in Syria.

Nor did it take much for Erdogan to accomplish this. Essentially all it took was a military buildup on the border supposed to lend credence to his threat that he is itching to move across the border into Syria. That is an eventuality White House understandably wants to avoid seeing it correctly recognizes the Syria mess it created is complicated enough without the addition of a further unpredictable and destabilizing factor.

Does the US REALLY think that Assad, the Russians, and the Kurds are NOT going to take back the rest of Syria?

Dream on. What's the US gonna do about it? Say the Kurds are no longer their friends? BOO-HOO. The Russians are now the friends of the Kurds and actually backing that up with military might, and the opening of a diplomatic office in Moscow for the Kurds, recognizing Western Kurdistan as a political entity. Just like the Donetsk People's Republic and South Ossetia.

Missed that move didn't you. The Western media said NOTHING about it.

What's left of value to "take"?

Russia will be left with a "you broke it, you bought it" situation not unlike Iraq and Afghanistan. Should the US care about that?

The Russians figure it will take less than a week to return control of Syrian territory all the way to it's northern border to the legitimate government.

Perhaps you misunderstood what I said. Russia's objective is to return complete control of Syrian sovereign territory to the legitimate government, plus the establishment of a Kurdish autonomous region along the Turkish border, which Assad has already agreed to.

Turkey's worst nightmare, backed by Russian military power.

A Kurdish zone on the border across N. Iraq and N. Syria offers the most for the ingredients that are in the area to work with with no close second in sight.

1. Disrupt Sunni Jihadist support and supply.
2. Enable ISIS to be degraded and defeated.
3. Allow repatriation of Syrians and Iraqis from Europe and Turkey
4. High chance of Turkish self instituted switch to moderate government
5. Avoidance of Russian / Nato friction in the region.
6. Eventual location of pipeline to Med for N. Iraq and Syrian oil
7. Allowing Anbar to cast off ISIS and return to normalcy
8. Allow the major global power brokers to clean the piss and
blood off of their chess pieces and boards and take a breather
before the next game starts
9. Solve it before President Trump is sworn in
10. Get Americans back to reality TV and buying more stuff
11. Put the Neocons back on Fox to tell us what we really just saw happen.
12. Allow us to consider when they say it is not the oil, it's the principle,
it's the oil.

"If the Unites States is really Turkey's friend and ally, then they should recognize the PYD — a Syrian branch of the PKK — as a terrorist organization. If a friend acts as an enemy, then measures should be taken, and they will not be limited to the Incirlik Airbase, Turkey has significant capabilities," Erdogan advisor Seref Malkoc told Bugun newspaper.

So yeah. Turkey just threatened the US. It's notable that Malkoc specifically said actions would go "beyond Incirlik," because pulling access to the base would be the first thing any regional observers would expect from Ankara in the event of a spat with Washington. For Turkey to say that measures will go beyond that, opens the door for Erdogan to become openly hostile towards his NATO allies.

I wouldn't say they have more than KSA, however the Kurdish zone in Iraq is where about half of the Iraqi oil comes from, those fields were first developed before World War I by the company that eventually became BP. Saddam never wanted to do much with the oil there because the Kurds were on his enemies list so he did most of his oil investing in the southern Iraq oil fields nearer to Kuwait. In fact he thought it would be easier to take over Kuwait than to develop those northern fields hence Gulf War I in the 1990's.

Maybe this repression of the media is part of this new Turkish aggressive foreign policy but it also can be part of the more general digging in by governments as the world becomes more unstable and more competitive.

New footage, released by GerillaTv, seems to show a (PKK) Kurdish fighter shooting down a Turkish “AH-1” Cobra chopper, using a Russian anti-aircraft “9K38 Igla” system. According to the original source, the video took place on 13 may 2016, in southeast Turkey, near the Iraqi-Turkish border.

http://edition.cnn.com/2016/08/24/middl ... operation/

Istanbul, Turkey (CNN)Turkey has launched a military operation against ISIS in the north of Syria, Turkish state media has reported.

The aim of the operation, codenamed "Euphrates Shield" is to secure territory along its border with Syria from the ISIS threat, officials told Turkey's semi-official Anadolu agency.

Will the USA leave the Kurds in Syria = "Rojava" to the turkish knifes?

The only fraction who kills ISIS succesfull are the SDF + USA in Syria

Do the USA realy believe that Turkey under Emperor Erdogan kills ISIS who is slaughtering Kurds?

Never Ever => Kobane proofs it.

According to preliminary reports from the Jarabulus countryside, the Turkish Special Forces and Free Syrian Army have already crossed the Euphrates River; however, they have yet to attack the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists protecting the area.

Turkish forces are expected push as far as 70 km into Syrian territory, clearing both Mar’e and Jarabulus from the Islamic State terrorists.

Turkey Says Has ’Every Right to Intervene’ if No Syrian Kurd Withdrawal
By News Desk - 25/08/2016

The Syrian Kurdish forces “must move to the east of the Euphrates and Turkey is following this very closely,” Defense Minister Fikri Isik told NTV television.

He was speaking a day after Ankara launched an offensive in Syrian town of Jarablus.

“If this withdrawal doesn’t happen, Turkey has every right to intervene,” Isik added.

But the YPG told AFP in Beirut it had no interest in listening to ultimatums laid down by Turkey.

“The YPG are Syrians and they are present on Syrian land — Turkey cannot impose restrictions on the movements of Syrians on their land,” said YPG spokesman Redur Xelil.

Turkish invasion troops open fire on Syrian Kurds in Syria

OPERATION EUPHRATES SHIELD UNDERMINES KURDISH HOPES FOR AUTONOMY IN SYRIA

On August 24, Turkey, in close cooperation with the United States, destroyed the hopes of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) to link up Kurdish cantons in northern Syria and de facto set up a semi-independent state along the Turkish border. The Turkish Armed Forces and militant groups loyal to Ankara entered Syria, supported by the US Air Force, and seized the strategic city of Jarablus and nearby villages from ISIS. First clashes with usage of small arms, military equipment and artillery, were reported between the Turkish-led forces and the forces loyal to the PYD (they operate under the brand of the so-called “Syrian Democratic Forces or SDF”) south of Jarablus late on this day.
