The only options I have that appeal to me in my 401(K) are the

CAPITAL PRESERVATION FUND, which invests in short-term govt. securities

OR

Oakmark International Fund

Which will do better w/ the dollar TANKING in the U.S. and with the hyperinflationary environment we'll live in, in the near future?

I want to leave the money in the 401(K) so I don't take the penalties, pay the taxes, etc.

Should I just take it out and invest the money in Energy and Gold?

What do you guys think??

OAKIX is a decent international fund, but using stocks to hedge the dollar is probably a losing game. I'd go 80% MM and 20% OAKIX.

You might look into whatever US stock funds are available and see if any hold a reasonable stake in energy.
