Im waiting for Mavericks next post.
I asked a question .
Eastern Europe is a land transit route.I just cant see it all closing down short of WW III
Come on Mav talk to us.
You are absolutely right Eastern Europe is the land of transit. It will not close down. The sooner it is brought into the EU the better it is for Europe. Turkey too, I know this might not be popular but it is true. As far as Iran The only way EU (i.e. Euro losses) is if US can set up a puppet regime there without any blood being spilled. And this puppet gives up the bourse. Chances of this are low. I will post some more euro articles. Big things are happening my friends you just have to make sure you don’t miss them.

Abdul Qadeer Khan, the disgraced scientist dubbed the father of Pakistan's atomic bomb, provided Iran (news - web sites) with centrifuges that can be used to purify uranium for nuclear weapons, the Pakistani government said on Thursday.
Iran`snuclear pointsman says talks with Europeans `successful
Iran`s pointsman on nuclear issues, Hassan
Rowhani, gave his weight Thursday to ongoing nuclear negotiations
between the country and the Europeans, describing the talks as
`successful`.
His statements came as several Iranian officials lined up in
recent days to warn that Tehran might be forced to abandon the
diplomatic process if pressed too far.
The presidents of two leading oil producing nations, Venezuela and Iran, are due to meet to discuss closer economic co-operation.
Hugo Chavez and Mohammad Khatami are expected to sign a number of energy deals during President Khatami's three-day visit to Caracas.

I want to thank you for all your news articles. I visit this web to learn facts, assess the situation, and I find your daily posts more helpful than just about anything else. So, thanks, and I'm sure many feel the same way. I don't want to clog this forum with thank you, thoughs.
Your latest post coming about the centrifuges is very worrisome. Again, I think the U.S. is garnering its evidence to get the EU to back recommending Iran go to the security council. Every day that goes on only buttresses Hirsch's article that America wants the EU diplomacy to fail to get the EUs support for action against Iran. The talks between Iran and the EU don't seem to be going anywhere, not publicly anyway, with the red line being Iran's position that it will never agree to stop enrichment. I'm not saying they're wrong, but their red line that they won't stop seems to be at odds with the US and EU position that they must.
I agree we can't know what Pakistan said is credible. But, what I think it shows is the building of pressure through good or bad intelligence to a controntation with Iran. I agree the intelligence is suspect, since Pakistan is being pumped up with massive U.S. aid. On the other side, its clear this guy sold lots of nuclear technology, so, we don't know what to believe. However, the whole Iranian "intelligence" being made public is a flashback to pre invasion Iraq.
India on Thursday indicated it will not
stop its economic dealings with Iran because of `US concerns` and
said it hoped issues between those countries would be resolved before
New Delhi concludes gas import agreements with Tehran.
EU talks with Iran on curbing its nuclear program are going slower than hoped for, but negotiators still hope an accord can be reached, the EU states leading the talks said in a progress report Friday.
But Britain, France and Germany, which have spearheaded the diplomatic initiative, warned that if there is no accord the EU would support a US call for Iran to be referred to the UN Security Council.
In a policy shift, the Bush administration will go along with European efforts to stop Iran from building a nuclear weapon by using diplomatic carrots now, with the threat of U.N. sticks later.
President Bush agreed to offer modest economic incentives to Iran in exchange for Tehran's abandoning its nuclear enrichment program, two senior administration officials said Thursday.

The European Union will support U.S. calls to bring Tehran before the U.N. Security Council for possible sanctions unless it agrees to scrap the technology that can be used to make nuclear arms, according to a document obtained Friday by The Associated Press.
If Iran does not agree, "We shall have no choice but to support referring Iran's nuclear program to the U.N. Security Council," said the confidential EU document on the state of negotiations on uranium enrichment between Iran, Germany, France and Britain
'Stronger' US action if Iran does not end nuclear weapons ambitions: Cheney
The United States will pursue "stronger action" if Iran does not abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions, Vice President Dick Cheney said in an interview Friday.
The statement comes as Washington announced it would drop objections to Iran joining the World Trade Organization to support efforts by Britain, France and Germany aimed at persuading Tehran to end its suspect nuclear program.
Iran’s foreign minister has told a Bosnian newspaper that if Washington decides to attack Iran it will be a nightmare for the United States.
“If America decides to attack Iran, they will make a big mistake. It will be a nightmare for them,” Kamal Kharrazi was quoted as saying in an interview published yesterday in the Nezavisne Novine newspaper.

Thanks for the thanks seahorse. _________________ "The age of excess is over. The age of entropy has begun"
In my humble opinion they are going to attack Iran. The question is whether this attack is going to be massive or rather provacative one. And how Iran is going to reply?
Watch out!
ISRAEL has drawn up secret plans for a combined air and ground attack on targets in Iran if diplomacy fails to halt the Iranian nuclear programme.
The inner cabinet of Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister, gave “initial authorisation” for an attack at a private meeting last month on his ranch in the Negev desert.
Iran described progress on nuclear talks with Europe as unsatisfactory and too slow, with Tehran's chief negotiator warning Sunday that it soon may walk away from the discussion.
Iran has made such threats before, accusing Europe of wasting time and not making proposals that conform to the Iranian bottom line -- that it will develop peaceful nuclear technology. Europe seeks to ensure it does not use the technology to build bombs
Iran may offer final proposal in nuclear talks soon: Negotiator
Iran may soon offer a final proposal to the European Union (EU) for the nuclear talks and set a deadline for their response, one of Iran's main negotiators said Monday.
If the EU fails to accept the offer, the talks will break down and Iran will be ready to face whatever consequences that might follow, Sirus Naseri said in an interview with the state television.
"It's not like we have no time limits. It might not be long before we put on the table our final proposal and give them a deadline to either accept or reject it," Naseri said, warning thatTehran is "not far away from this stage."

Iran’s foreign minister on Tuesday warned the European Union not to use “threats” in negotiations aimed at easing international concerns over the country’s nuclear ambitions, saying Tehran was sticking by its demand to one day resume uranium enrichment.
Kamal Kharazi said Iran had agreed with Britain, France and Germany when talks kicked off late last year “that any threat against Iran” would be a violation of an accord that saw Iran freeze it sensitive nuclear activities while negotiations continued.
The Bush administration has offered modest incentives - of Iran's entry to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and spare parts for its aging airplanes - rejected by Iran as incommensurate with the huge nuclear card. In making this announcement, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made clear that this decision, reached with the European Three (ie France, Germany and Britain - EU-3) currently holding nuclear talks with Iran, implies that if Iran rejected the offer and insists on resuming its nuclear fuel cycle, then Europe would support the US's bid to take the matter to the United Nations Security Council for further action.
Iran has made great strides in recent years in rebuilding bridges to Europe and Asia after the tumultuous early years of the Islamic Revolution of 1979. Those years saw the new Islamic regime seeking to export its revolutionary values abroad and assassinating opponents. The early excesses led many countries to regard the Islamic Republic as a rogue state and to try to isolate it politically and economically.
