Don’t worry, just a little bump - $70 is just around the corner. Short traders just keep making those margin calls, mortgage the house if you have to. Fortunes await you! PO is for pansies and doomers. At $70 short some more ..... it is going back to $22 .... the world is awash with oil ........ reality has nothing to do with it, its all in those charts!!!!!!!!!!

Although not directly a "film" about Peak Oil, more around global warming and the effects of fossil fuel consumption -- alot of the themes that we are today familiar with are mentionned in this 1989 documentary.
I found it using Google Video search, don't know how long it will "last" but there quite a few chilling "predictions" (the documentary is set in year 2050 looking back at our epoch) including things like food shortages that we are seeing happen today.
Unfortunately, the world depicted in the documentary seems way more rational and logical than our world but -- found it interesting nonetheless:

Excellent Link thank you. Unfortunately we are not where he suggests we should be, far from it. I was only 3 when it came out, amazing how long we have ignored the problem. Well live as you mean to go on...
I recommend this video of a lecture James Lovelock gave at the British Royal Institute. Lovelock is a self confessed doomer, those of a weak constitution should avoid it.
The most truly terrifying and upsetting thing about all of this is Lovelocks lecture only has 7 ratings, while this one called global warming doomsday called off has 667 ratings. Humans run from the truth, too scared and cowardly to face reality. _________________ April 2008 Global Population: 6.8 billion

The world back in 1991 DID seem more rational and logical than the world does today: We hadn't experienced almost eight years of Bush the 2nd presidency, we didn't have subprimes to worry about, their use to be 'recessions' that were officially acknowledged, it was much easier to deny GW and PO back then, too, as there wasn't so much in-the-face evidence (that is still vehemently denied today).
