How then, do we move backwards? How does a society, with most of the people having no clue of future events, move from being dependent on a vast and intertwined network of goods and services produced by the indigenous people of whereever, to a local resource and renewable energy based society, and do so in the timeframe available (20-30 years using the most liberal extimates, 10-20 with resonable estimates, 5-10 with worst case scenarios), all the while prices on everything increasing, world politics getting more militaristic, governments continuously reducing civil liberties, shortages of goods on the market and weather patterns resembling bad Hollywood movies?

We have two Christian parties in our government at the moment which is jokingly called 'Grey I' for the amount of old (grey haired) people that are currently holding the positions of the council of ministers. These Christian parties tend to forbid some things they dont like. For instance they also want stores to be closed on sunday, forbid violent games (although thats not specific to Christian parties) and remove semi-naked women from billboards.
But now it's all about drugs. I dont think we will change or marijuana-policy. But if i'm correct we also outlawed 'smartshops' where supplies for growing your own (large amount of) weed could be bought. _________________ The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.
