Holy Smokes Batman!

So many new visitors recently...

So you saw Peak Oil on CNN... Googled like crazy, & was shocked to find an existing International Community dedicated to that very topic... for years.

Have that "Why didn't anybody tell me before now" feeling?

We understand....

Welcome to peakoil.com

Most of us are just private citizens who share the idea that this topic deserves closer examination.

And that is exactly what we do.

In our forum you will find a diversity of thought & opinion almost without equal, with topics ranging from oil depletion modeling, to Zombie-Biker, "end of the world" projections... & everything in between.

So jump right in... the waters are murky & probably somewhat dangerous...

We don't bite... mostly.

If you're new to the discussion, register and talk about it. There is a wide range of opinions on the subject.

Check out Wikipedia and Youtube on peak oil. Matt Simmons, Kenneth Deffeyes, read this forum for the comments by seahorse, go to theoildrum.com, and make up your minds for yourselves. Also check out Albert Bartlett on resource depletion.

Overall, it's a great intro with information about oil depletion issues, products made from oil, problems with alternatives, EROEI, list of other sites and reading materials. Also, check out their map of countries and oil reserves.

Of course, I love peakoil.com's forums and news articles!

Please try to understand...it took me 6 months of hard study to realize that that...YES...EVERYTHING really DOES run on oil.

When the lukers/guests get that point...they wont be lurkers...they'll become members.

you can wake somebody out of thier slumber to tell them they've won the lottory...can you wake them to tell them the exact opposite?
