For a minute there I thought I had to get off my couch, when all the while the fact is we don't have to do anything much but keep things afloat for just a few decades more! In fact, we'd best shut up about PO, because if our offspring finds out we knew about it all along, they'll turn and wring our necks come 2036!

Hi,

The software this board runs is phpNuke (or some variation of) I'm pretty sure. Anyway, it's based on phpBB, that's for sure. The phpBB community has little pieces of software patches for the forum software called "mods"(short for "moderations"), things that add extra functionality to the board. Here's a database of the more or less "official" ones, for example.

Well, the point is, there's a nice little, simple mod the simply makes the user's name in the box to the left
<------ right there
into a clickable link to the person's profile. It makes it real easy to check out the person and especially if you want to send them a quick PM. Here it is.

I was wondering if the PTB on the board could make this modification, or it I could volunteer to make it. It's really simple and I doubt that this board's software is that different than standard phpBB to "break" this mod.

Just wondering, and I understand if there's reluctance to mess with the software. It was worth a shot though. Smile
