| Can the text size of the homepage be bigger? If the size isn't at least medium, it reduces legibility and accesibility. With higher resolution monitors it's tiny. Using 'ctrl+' (in Firefox) to increase text size is tedious (the forums doesn't have this problem). |

| In Firefox you can use ctrl with the scroll wheel on your mouse, if you've got one. |

In Opera you can set the page size. There's a box to the upper right hand, with a range between 20% and 1000% of the original size. _________________ The greatest shortcoming of the human race is our inability to understand the exponential function.

Somewhere in options fonts advanced there is a option to set the minimum size of the font.

I agree. The font sizes are set for the old video cards/monitors. With today's high-res cards, the text looks like microfilm.
I use Firefox and use an extension to increase the text size. (Tab Mix Plus, I think.) But it's not ideal for news stories. If you set the text size large enough to easily see quotation marks, diacriticals, and all the things that so important for HTML, you end up scrolling a lot, because the text box remains tiny. A postage stamp in the middle of my spacious screen, in which I have to edit sometimes extremely long URLs. _________________ "The problems of today will not be solved by the same thinking that produced the problems in the first place." - Albert Einstein |

I should add, though...if you're not submitting news stories, the solution is pretty easy.
In Internet Explorer:
Tools -> Options -> General
Click "Accessibility." Check "Ignore font sizes."
Now View -> Text Size will increase the text size.
Occasionally, you will come across a page that doesn't format correctly. Use View -> Text size to decrease the text size in those cases. _________________ "The problems of today will not be solved by the same thinking that produced the problems in the first place." - Albert Einstein |

| ...they are work-arounds, but the default size should be bigger. It may use relative (medium, large, etc) not absolute (10, 12, etc) sizes... |
