My question relates to Gas (Methane) Hydrates

Is there where I can read a response to the belief that these Gas Methane Hydrates will somehow rescue us from the oil depletion. There is another case where I'm talking to someone about peak oil and they believe that they know of something that's going to solve the problem. Ideally, there would a list somewhere of all the "answers" being offered up as an answer to peak oil (tar sands, abiotic oil, etc. etc. etc.) along with the respectable answers as to why these so called "answers" aren't really answers at all (unless, of course, they are.) I wouldn't want to bother the people of this forum by asking a question that - in some other location - was asked and answer maybe 20 times. A general global list of "non-answers" to peak oil therefore would be helpful. Does anyone have any idea where such a list might be and whether or not it has the answer to this particular question about the methane hydrates
