The other major media organizations will eventually get fully up to speed on the energy crunch, but at the moment, the Beeb leads the way:

Fuelling The Future

This is the year PO finally hits the mainstream. They can't ignore it anymore.

I've been searching the BBC channel on my Dish system, but nothing is showing up. Does anyone know if this series is under the name of something else?

No, the programme is called Fuelling the Future - but as far as I know, it is on RADIO only. The BBC World Service to be exact. I listen to the World Service in my car on the way to & from work. They have a format of 30 minute programmes and a part of each (of the programmes I listen to) is devoted to Energy. They freely talk about plentiful oil coming to an end (but I don't think I've heard the term Peak Oil mentioned!) They have talked about the effects of the natural gas drilling in the fields of the former Soviet Union, tomorrow I think they will be talking about Mexico and its diminishing supplies of oil. They encourage people to call in, email or text message about how they economise energy-wise. Interestingly enough, one of the callers was an American lady in her sixties who lives in Venezuela, who despite the ultra-cheap gasoline there, insists on not having a car and riding a bike everywhere (I just finished reading the thread on the forum about gasoline selling for cents in Vzla.)

Regards,

L.
