wasnt some of Leahman bros crap supposed to be auctioned yesterday? wha happened with that? not to jack the thread but it my have something to do with todays market

No, the auctions are today, thus one of the good reasons for a potentail collapse.

Amazing, we had a 700 point drop right off the bat, according to the chart we hit 7900
Then we dead cat bounce? looks more like market manipulation to me

No, Jason. The market is waiting to hear what Bush says. Traders are positioning themselves in case there's an annoucement of another huge bailout.

The European stocks are beginning to come back up also. They came back up to -5 to -6% in the back 20 minutes.
The past few days the last hour has been critical for the Dow. Today may be more of the same in that regard, which ever way it decides to move.
