My Google real-time chart momentarily showed a -1300 point, 14% drop in the DJIA. It came back up to -500 points/5% in a few seconds. I wonder if that was a calculation anomaly or it really dropped that low momentarily.

Let's remember that these point drops are on a smaller base. A 500-point drop today is much bigger than a 500-point drop of a few weeks ago. Easy to overlook this in the excitement.

it did that on my yahoo finance screen too...

now their playing Reeling in the Years.. I'm waiting for Black Friday.
