Another bailout? Some other government action? Something we won't hear about until 30 minutes later in the news? the movement looks unnatural...like somebody must of flipped the switch.

The PPT has factored that in.

Must have been better news since it rallied right after that.

Fed's 'Beige Book' survey says economic picture has deteriorated further across the nation. More soon.

It's just crazy volatile today. It's making screaming fast runs in both directions. The bulls desperately want to save this rally, and they're generating some traction. I'm still inclined to believe we're going to take a dive in the last hour, but we'll see.
To more specifically answer your question about the 2:00 reversal, it ran into the bottom bollinger band on the 10 minute chart. That and the 8300 numerical support was enough to reverse it.

i wonder how long the market is going to bounce around like this. this volitility has been great. im going to be sorry when it ends. since 3 pm the dow is all over the place.
SLB posted some shitty news today and they are being punished, but not nearly as much as they deserve.
oil prices are CRASHED (gas her is $1.77 !!!!) yet XOM and CVX still hold wildly inflated market caps. when do they crash ? i guess the next round of dividend guidance might be instructive.

Take a look at yesterday's Dow chart and today's. They are exactly the same. Pretty crazy huh?

Guess the Treasury is NEVER out of money. And they would rather have it go worthless than let this deflation continue.
Can they stop this deflation? Not a chance. They will destroy the USD before relinquishing power.

Print and pump is basically their only choice at this point.
