To be clear however, the Justice I am talking about is ETERNAL Justice, its "making things right" on the grand scale of eternity.

Ah, the ever elusive "eternal justice". I'm in favor of it but I'm not qualified to define it; nor do I think anyone else is.

I expect the Good Man to give away what he does not need to those who are in need. Are you a Good Man MD, or a Selfish Man?

I'm a fortunate man, for sure. I've enjoyed material prosperity, physical health, and solid life-long relationships. "Good" or "Selfish" though? Neither and both. If I've struggled in this life it's been to stay spiritually and emotionally centered and having a black and white view of those attributes destroys the center.

Let's just say I pursue the virtues and avoid the vices, and I stand neither guilt-free nor condemned.

{edit:and why is this thread in economics and finance? we're way off topic}

Why in Economics and Finance? Because the topic of the OP is clearly related to that. However, such a thread inevitably produces tangents, and this is one kind that can result. There is no purity between forums or topics, they all crossover in some ways. I tend to favor a board organization that runs chronologically as opposed to a forum organized board as a result, but that is not how this board is organized. So you do have the problem of how to deal with tangents, not easily soluble of course.

You are a fortunate man MD, and so am I. Negotiating this endgame for anyone will be difficult. I do disagree with you though that it is not in the purview of a person to make a reductionist analysis to "black and white". While you may see things in shades of gray, I really do not. Its 1s and 0s for me, its digital. I compute it, its a discrete analysis for me. I CAN say with authority what is Good and what is Evil, based on the calculations. I'll back it up also, in more words than you can imagine possible really, I write the stuff as I think it. I do believe it possible to show evil for what it is by exhaustively analysing the problem. I don;t write short because to phrase it all it takes a lot of writing, it takes a lot of thought. I spend the time necessary to do that, others will not. That is not my problem at all, as is obvious.

I don't sit on the fence, I don't countenance what I consider Evil. I take a STAND. I won't EVER agree to disagree, or say "Its a matter of opinion" on questions of Good and Evil. I'll write with authority and I will make very clear what is Evil. I challenge anyone to take me on in this endeavor. God help you if you do this. LOL.

God has helped me through much worse. I'm happy to continue, but this is Hogan's thread, not ours, and we need to stay on topic here.
This conversation can continue elsewhere, if you like.

Best left for the thread to continue without my Grandstanding :-) I just provoke into this too easily, its a personal fault of mine. I am more interested in understanding the coming depression, so hopefully we return to this now.
