According to this site Taxpayers attended 858 TEA Parties and attendance was over 500,000 nationwide. The thing will be if they continue and keep growing or if they are a flash in the pan. http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=view-events&type=1&sort=date&reverse=false&category=2&state=

Pup,
You ARE on a roll! Good stuff.
I've come to the same conclusion myself, as depressing as that is.

If it grows, it just shows how many dimwits live in the USA. Yes, I'm glad somebody's protesting something. But some recent study showed 43% of single filers in the U. S. paying no federal income tax at all. More than half of the people benefit from the current state of the tax system. Only the wealthy people that pay their taxes without cheating get screwed, and what percentage of the electorate can they possibly be? That is democracy for you.

You guys don't get it. This is not about "higher taxes." This is about our government spending like a drunken sailor with a stolen credit card. Higher taxes - confiscatory rates - on OUR THEIR WAY. And before you go whining about the $800 billion Bush spent on the war, consider that BO has doubled the dollars spent on government programs in less than 100 days in office. He is inflating the debt and the deficit and there is no end in sight.
It would appear that his specific purpose is to bankrupt our country. You can NOT get ahead financially by plunging deep into debt. The interest on our debt service will soon swamp us.
That's what this is about. It's time for our country to stop using our taxpayer dollars to prop up failing banks, failing companies, corrupt corporations and worst of all, The Fed.
How otherwise smart people can not see this astounds me.
We are drowning in debt in this country and this is not sustainable.
