With the best movies of the genre it's not about the monster.

It's about people's reaction to the monster.

And that's what Zombieland is also. It's much more about the human
characters and their journey, rather than the zombies. It was funny. I enjoyed
the guest appearance!

Even Kunstler couldn't resist Zombieland:

Just saw it. Thankfully it was only an hour and 20 minutes long. I was constantly checking the time for the final half hour, much like waiting impatiently for the class bell to ring. No socially redeeming value in this movie whatsoever. We had free passes, so at least we didn't have to pay.

A total waste of time.

I saw it. It was "ok", had some funny moments not many. For a good comedy zombie film I recommend Shaun of the Dead.
When zombies invade your town and the safest place you can think of to stay is the local pub, it's going to be funny.

Okay, so maybe Zombieland won't win an Oscar.

I saw it and i liked it. I watched as a zombie movie ought to be watched, friday night, with one (or two) cans of beer and pizza.

I had to see it, just for the sake that Woody was in it. The first 15 minutes was a bit of a gore fest, and I was about to conclude, not one of these again, but in actuality it was really a contrived setup because in the rest of the movie, the camp you would expect kicked in, and it mellowed out. All a clever ploy. I smell, ZombieLand II.

Let’s not forget that it did have some redeeming value. Two rules, I will take with me, Cardio and Double Tap.
