Refined products will probably be more of an issue than oil. They can draw crude out of the SPR if needed. That's what it's for.

The real question is how long the refineries will be shut down.

Not sure how many of the levees are still earthen.

But yeah, during Katrina, the levee failures came after the storm, not during.

The CNN reporter saw water bursting through a levee. Water was rising so fast the cops made them leave.

Later, the NOLA officials said the leak was actually under a gate in the levee, not a breach ...

CNN is reporting cracks in the Industrial Canal levees that were being overtopped.

They said the Lower Ninth Ward is likely to be flooded again.
