Trade in your Prius and buy a VW? It is astonishing how pathetic and dangerous the Eco-business-as-usual paradigm really is. If we do see any bio-diesel produced without starving the population, it should be for much more essential uses, such as powering farm equipment or transporting food. The promise of powering even a small fraction of our cars is a hoax (marginal ERoEI). Any large scale attempt will cause a massive famine (dieoff).

If this guy really cared about the environment or sustainibility-- and he wanted to promote energy efficient transportation-- he would say "Trade in your Prius and buy a bicycle."
