The Bush regime's position on global warming is exactly analogous to that of the tobacco companies, for many decades, on the dangers of smoking. The evidence just wasn't conclusive, they insisted; the studies were "flawed." Meanwhile, irreversible damage was done to millions of human lungs. I predict that in the future the Bushies will be especially reviled by historians and average citizens for their tireless efforts to block any real action on global warming.
