Actually I found the download:
http://www.americasarmy.com/downloads/
It says the whole thing is 780 mb!!! So I think I'll pass on this one. I am tempted to e-mail them that you should be able to play the anti-us forces:
that would get far more people playing IMHO than being in the US Army, which seems to be losing its shine at the moment. Somebody ought to create a patch or mod so you could blow up GI's with RPGs and IEDs.
Actually I'll ask them if you get to kill civvies, raze cities to the ground and off Eyetie journos as well.
Good one Kochevnik

Better watch out. They'll put you at the top of the draft list... as a member of the special moving target forces.

If an Army video game is causing kids to sign up, then Grand Theft Auto is causing kids to go on violent felony sprees including killing cops.
BTW, I'll go on record right here and now saying that video games that reward players for committing violent felonies do not deserve free speech protection, and sales of such things should be illegal in the same manner as child pornography. Speaking as a "First Amendment fundamentalist" here who also agrees with the legal definition of "assault" that threat-speech is not protected speech.

I was a tester for this simulator. It is exactly that. You must take tests at the start to"qualify" for certain munitions i.e sniper school were you must get a very high score to qualify to use the sniper guns in the game.
Your team mates are always U.S troops and your enemy always appears as arabs, rags on their heads and all.
The strange part is the honor system. You gain honor points that stay with you always.Teamkilling drops your honor and killing arabs raises your honor. The honor and qualifying scores are reported to the central server(army) and stay with you. They know exactly who are the highest honor scorers and who are the best snipers in the simulator.Don't kid yourself.
If you kill a team mate purposely(too early in the match) it puts you in a jail cell called "leavenworth".Go play, just don't be too good.BTW,i sure wouldn't want the jagoffs I saw in there watching my back lol.
If you don't have high speed,no problem. From the AA site:
"56K modem users: to get the game, visit a download site below with the "Order Free CD" link, or contact your local recruiter: Find a recruiter >>
"
Yea,the game is older than Iraq, how ironic the first map they made was called "insurgent camp".A phrase now in every american home.

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
your worng. they not only do not cause someone to be violent(the kids were already messed up to begin with) they also deserve full protection under the first amendment otherwise you open the door to censorship that can't and won't be stoped at video games.
of course your just showing your ignorence by being so willing to throw away freedoms others have died for to make it a right for you.

Step one is find it before it shoots you to death. Step two is get close enough to it to throw the blanket on it before it shoots you to death. Step three is throw the blanket on it sucessfully before it shoots you to death.

Damn, being the most high tech army and all, you would expect that they could provide at least a decent download rate.

But...just outta curiousity.
How respected is the CO status these days? I'm CO on purely religious grounds. I've got dozens of Bible quotes that pretty much tie my hands on the matter. It ain't MY choice.
But not only that...I've had a few genuine medical problems in the last couple of years. The first time I learned about Peak Oil, and my brother was about to leave to Basic Training I became really depressed. The University Doctor prescribed Zoloft. By his diagnosis, I am clinically prone to biological depression when serious life altering stress kicks in.
I've also been given pills to help with the back pains I get at work. But I hardly ever take them.
I also came down with Kidney Stones in September and was put on Torodal and Vicodin.
I'm also visiting the Doc tomorrow morning because I haven't had a straight 8 hours sleep in literally months. I also started having hyperventilations in December (because of Finals Stress).
Would they even consider me a usable body?

Kay, that doesn't really answer much of anything. We all knew that stuff. Also, that stuff is almost a year old.
